Leading up to its upcoming 12.12 sale, Lazada has introduced a new livestreaming feature on its mobile app. Inspired by the phenomenon in China, Lazada is tapping into the resources and experience of parent company Alibaba to bring the feature here to Malaysians.
The company describes the feature as an opportunity for shoppers and sellers to have live interactions and discussions about the product. Sellers can provide live product demos, and shoppers can also make purchases immediately, straight from the app.
In other words, think of it as a live infomercial. Except there’s going to be some star power involved as well. On 8, 10,11 and 12 December, personalities such as Nana Mahazan, Dynas Mokhtar, Sharifah Eleen and more will also be part of these livestreams. In a sense, they will be helping brands sell their products.
Since this is part of the 12.12 promotions, shoppers can also redeem exclusive vouchers during the livestreams. There will also be deals that are exclusive to the livestreams, so it may be worth tuning in just so you can claim them.
While you can place them in your cart ahead of time, you can only have them checked out between 10 and 12 December. If it strikes your fancy, you can even add a property to your cart as well.
In addition to the livestream, you can expect the usual massive discounts, via the “Shake It!” and “Slash It!” games. The latter also involves a Perodua Axia this time around, but there are only 10 of them available to be slashed. You’ll have to get it slashed 250 times to actually get the car for free.
