Monster Hunter: World PC Release Date Announced

Capcom has finally announced the PC release date for its immensely popular game, Monster Hunter: World. Interestingly, prior to this announcement, Capcom had earlier announced that the game will be made available on PC sometime in Fall of Autumn 2018. Despite this, it looks like Monster Hunter: World will be making its ways onto PC gamers’ hands much sooner than we thought.

Capcom has mentioned that Monster Hunter: World will be released on PC on 10 August 2018. PC Gamers will be able to purchase the game via Steam, and it’s currently priced at RM139 for the standard edition. Meanwhile, the Monster Hunter: World Deluxe Edition is priced at RM174 and it includes the main game as well as “Deluxe Kit.”.

What make the release of Monster Hunter: World on PC even more interesting is the fact that it doesn’t require really powerful hardware to run smoothly. The minimum system requirements needed to run this game are an Intel Core i5-4460 or AMD FX 6300 processor; 8GB RAM; and either a Nvidia GTX 760 or Radeon R7 260x graphics card. These specifications should be able to run the game at 1080P and 30fps on low settings.

The recommended PC system requirements for Monster Hunter: World is equally as interesting as well. The CPU recommended to run this game are either and Intel Core i7-3770 or Intel Core i3-8350 CPU; or AMD Ryzen 5 1500X processor. The graphics card recommended for this game are either a Nvidia GTX 1060 (3GB VRAM) or Radeon RX 570X (4GB VRAM). These specs is expected to be able to run the game in 1080 at 30fps on high settings.

Do keep in mind that the game will consume about 20GB of storage space once installed, and that will most probably increase once more content are into the game. Either way, it’s good to see a mainstream Monster Hunter title finally being released on the PC. I’ve personally played the game (on a console) and I cannot recommended it any further to gamers who love challenging games.
