PowerColour has unveiled its latest product in the form of an external graphics enclosure called “Gaming Station.” Prior to this, the company had showcased it “Devil Box” eGPU enclosure last year during Computex (more details on that here).
Design-wise, the new PowerColour Gaming Station external graphic chassis isn’t quite as flamboyant as the older Devil Box eGPU enclosure. PowerColor has instead gone with a rather minimalistic design; it’s basically a metallic rectangular black box. Speaking of which, this eGPU enclose measures in at 343.2mm x 163mm x 245mm.
PowerColor has stated that the Gaming Station is compatible with both Radeon and Nvidia graphics cards. Do keep in mind however, that this eGPU enclosure only supports graphics cards that measure up to 310mm x 157mm x 46mm in length. Of course, this graphics enclosure connects to one’s system via Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C). The Gaming Station graphics enclosure is also equipped with five USB 3.0 ports, which are located in both the front and back of the chassis.
Those aside, it’s not known whether PowerColor is planning to make the Gaming Station available here in Malaysia. The actual pricing and release date of this eGPU enclosure is also not known at the time of writing. Sources, however, do expect the aforementioned details to be announced sometime in the near future.
