Samsung Galaxy Note 7R Sale Listing Appears in China; Retails from 3,599 Yuan

Refurbished units of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 – said to be dubbed the Note 7R – will allegedly go on sale later this month in South Korea, but the device has already been listed for sale online in China. Retailing from 3,599 Chinese yuan (about RM2,265), it appears there will be two distinct variants of the refurbished device.

To differentiate the refurbished Galaxy Note 7 from the recalled units, the online listing reveals that there is a distinct “R” on the back of the phone. This should make it relatively easy to identify the new Note 7R.

The “R” marking on the back of the alleged Galaxy Note 7R.

Aside from that, two variants of the Note 7R are shown in the listing: one comes with a smaller 3,200mAh battery, while another retains the Note 7’s 3,500mAh cell. Apparently, the model with the smaller battery capacity will be sold outside of China, while the 3,500mAh variant is only available in certain markets.

The most interesting bit of information here is definitely the asking price of the Galaxy Note 7R. According to the sale listing, the Note 7R will retail from 3,599 yuan (approximately RM2,265) to 3,999 yuan (about RM2,520). Needless to say, these are very compelling price tags, especially for one of the best Android smartphones in the market.

However, we have not heard from Samsung yet on the official availability of the Galaxy Note 7R, so take these information with a grain of salt. Hopefully, the Note 7R will indeed be priced at these price points.
